Russell 4 H Calf Club Plans Debating Topic
The Russell 4 H Calf Club held its second regular meeting on November 22 with seventeen members. The Beef Club Handbook was discussed while juniors and seniors met separately. Four seniors will debate the topic Horned Cattle are Dangerous at the next gathering on December 5 at 8 pm at the Ag. Rep's office.

Miss Ruth Wiebe Named Miss March of Dimes 1967
At a Brandon Manitoba Rally Meeting on November 27 1967 Miss Ruth Wiebe a 19 year old polio survivor from Lowe Farm is announced as Miss March of Dimes 1967. She lives with her sister in Winnipeg studies music and awaits employment. Ruth is a client of the Manitoba Society for Crippled Children and Adults. Donald Akerley 12 year old son of Sargent and Mrs G A Akerley Camp Shilo is introduced as 1967 Easter Seal Timmy a client also under treatment for Perthes Disease. The rally supports volunteer March of Dimes and Easter Seal Campaign work.

Russell Cub Pack Invests Thirteen Cubs Waiting List Grows
Russell The Ast Russell Cub Pack has 13 invested Cubs with 17 boys awaiting Tenderpad. Last week’s investiture included Terry Praski Ron Hudey Tommy Greaves Bobby Jackson. The pack plans to increase weekly investiture to six boys starting Thursday. Cubs grouped into Sixes with Sixers chosen. Star work begins Thursday. The pack now has 80 registered and new joiners go on a waiting list until openings appear.
