Shoal Lake Man Killed in ICG Truck Crash West of Selsgirth
RCMP report a 31 year old Shoal Lake man Robert Cornwall died last Tuesday when his ICG propane truck collided with a semi trailer at the Highway 16 and Provincial Trunk Highway 476 junction near Selsgirth. The semi driver had minor injuries and was treated and released. The accident is under investigation.

By law progress and recycling plan discussed by RM council

ACRE pays 45 cents per can and 15 cents per plastic container. municipality bears crushing costs. Russell council debates zoning by law and permits
The Town of Russell council introduced By Law No 1234 to rezone Lots 18 19 and 20 Block 106 Plan 0 from Residential Single Family to Residential Multiple Family and carried a variance order for Lot 5 Plan 6385 side yard. They approved a building permit and reviewed minutes financials and police report noting tires burning on a waste disposal ground is prohibited. The meeting was moved to August 30 and a Liberal campaign plan was outlined with Lynn Spurway named official agent. Approximately 25 attended the nomination meeting amid holiday newspaper closures.
