Grain handles rise in Kassel area crop year
Local elevator managers report higher crop tonnage for 1989 90 than 1988 89 across Kassel area elevators. Totals show 52 580 tonnes moved this year from 398 970 tonnes last year, with Cargill Rossburn down due to no winter movement. Oakburn United Grain Growers notes room for more, rail and weather factors affect handling, while Langenburg and other elevators report better yields and optimistic forecasts for 1990 81.
