Rusk Firemen Respond to Six Alarms Last Week
Rusk's volunteer fire department answered six alarms last week per fire marshal Elray Williams. Fires occurred behind Rev Lonnie Webb's home, behind Shelley Lee's home, and behind Henry Grogan's home on Ponta Road damaging an outhouse and threatening Mr Albert Bagley's home. A separate blaze behind Isaacs Premier Station on Alto Highway was caused by gas in a water well. Williams notes trash burning by individuals and warns to have ample water, citing a $50 taxpayer cost per alarm.
