Williams receives Beta Sigma Phi scholarship at Rusk High

The A student plans to attend Tyler Junior College to study business, supported by a $150 award from School principal Mr Philbrick. Alto Man Wounded by Deputies During Disturbance Incident
Kermit Sutton of Alto, about 50, was shot in the left shoulder by sheriff's deputies Allen Horton and Otheldack as he grabbed a shotgun and threatened officers while they investigated a disturbance at his home. Sutton, charged with aggravated assault on an officer, disturbing the peace, and public intoxication, was treated at Rusk Memorial Hospital and jailed.

TPEA Plans For Hospital Homecoming
The TPEA chapter at Rusk State Hospital outlined its June 15 homecoming plan. A covered dish supper follows a day for ex employees with Winfred Black leading the program and Mary McVicker organizing invitation letters. Tomato Field Day At Jacksonville Hillside Lab
