Outstanding staff honored at Rusk State Hospital ceremony
Mrs. Essie Madden and Mrs. Louise Yarbrough were named 1967's two outstanding employees of Rusk State Hospital during a Friday event. Dr Arch Connoly presented certificates on behalf of the Volunteer Council, with Mrs Edith Rae Vick and Mrs Lucille Ginn participating in the ceremony.

Two From Rusk Join National Association of Volunteers
Mrs. Thelma Jones and Mrs. Mabie Horn from Rusk State Hospital have been accepted as members of the American Association of Volunteer Services Coordinators. The group promotes professional standards and training for coordinators directing volunteers in mental health care. Both women also belong to the Texas Association of Staff Directors of Hospital Volunteer Services.
