County Clerk Lewis Banks reports the County Commissioners Court has ordered a board of equalization to determine property tax valuations. Residents of the newly formed Rusk Independent School District vote Saturday June 27 to establish a uniform tax rate and spread the debt. The election is a legal formality not a tax increase or new bond issue, with polling at Rusk City Hall from 8 am to 7 pm.
