Mrs. Iris Rogers of Rusk announces the engagement and approaching marriage of her daughter Joyce Marie to Bobby Lynn Jones son of Rev and Mrs. D. F. Jones of Rusk. The wedding is planned for July 21 at Salem Baptist Church.

L. L. Killion and Houston White of the Rusk TPEA Chapter attended a recent state meeting in Austin held at Villa Capri with over 100 delegates from all chapters. Officers heard reports from Rules Membership Legislative Job Classification and Resolution Committees. N. P. Watts the state executive director briefed on legislation affecting the organization. The Rusk Chapter invites all members and prospects to its third Monday meetings at the State Hospital.
Rusk residents report visitors this week as Mr and Mrs Thomas Knows of Big Spring stay with Mrs Effie White and relatives. Mrs Jeff Lovelady returns from Naples where her mother Mrs C E McCord is ill. Mike Cassidy of Bryan joins the family for the weekend with his wife Phi licia and son Patrick visiting relatives including Mrs James Fitts and Mrs Mollie sidy. They plan to return next Sunday.
The first camp of the 1962 season at Lone Star MV Camp near Athens closed Tuesday. It hosted boys ages 9 to 12 with over 100 enrolled. Among campers was Crais Rawson of Rusk, who earned a Red Cross Certificate in Begin.
Staff members Edwin Sanders Delores Sanders Margaret Sanders and Sylvia Sanders led a camp offering swimming life saving small craft classes. The first session, despite rain, was successful and three camps follow for boys and girls.
