Isleworth Mona Lisa sparks new art world mystery
In Geneva the Mona Lisa Foundation unveiled what it calls an earlier version of the Mona Lisa known as the Isleworth Mona Lisa. Experts remain undecided as Alessandro Vezzosi urges caution while noting the work shows a similar era and techniques. The foundation cites 2005 Heidelberg findings suggesting da Vinci sketched the head in 1503, while acknowledging the piece is unfinished and not conclusively authentic.
