McKinney Texas Sept 28 Charges of kidnapping are on record in justice court against Bob Malone Arthur Roberson and Austin Green who are alleged to have abducted Roy Lyon and J R Halford It is alleged Halford and Lyon were taken in an automobile to Oklahoma so they could not be used as state witnesses in the case of a man charged with violation of the prohibition law The defendants were released under bonds of 2250 each This is the first time in the history of the local courts such charges have been filed.

Fossil Mastodon Bones Found on Illinois Farm
On Julius Reuss farm four miles south of O Fallon Illinois huge fossil bones tusks and teeth believed to belong to a giant mastodon were unearthed when a dry creek bed was cut by a culvert.
