Roswell airport may gain MAP funding under revised FAA bill
The House approved changes to the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 enabling former DoD bases to apply for Military Airport Program grants. Roswell officials say the revision allows Walker Air Base to be eligible, potentially unlocking up to seven million dollars for terminal projects over five years.

Roswell police say nine of 21 occupants fled an SUV during a Monday stop on South Main Street. Twelve were detained and held by federal officials, while nine remain at-large and are believed to be in the United States illegally. Verizon tower approved on undersized Roswell lot
