Bridges Contracts Bid For Eddy County Awarded

Eddy County commissioners selected Bruce & Witt for a Carlsbad bridge contract after five weeks of notices and bids from multiple parties. The Artesia bridge bids were reviewed with roughly half favored, with a $250 forfeit required to guarantee bonding and contract validity. Plans specify a solid concrete reinforced by steel bridge, 24 feet wide, 214 feet long, and nine feet six inches high from bedrock.
