Suspect charged in Sunday night crash in Roswell
George Ortiz, 42, was arrested after the vehicle crashed into an electric pole on Sunset Avenue near Bonita Drive injuring his girlfriend and her child. Police found Ortiz in a backyard four blocks from the scene. The girlfriend and child were taken to a hospital. their conditions were not disclosed. A witness saw a tattooed man in a tank top flee the wreck.

Two Rescued From Roswell House Fire Prompt Investigation
A 60 year old man and a 61 year old woman were found in a burning residence on East Walnut Street in Roswell around 8 30 am Saturday. Both were hospitalized and later transferred for further care. Fire crews spent about three hours containing flames. interior damage was heavy. The Roswell Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate the cause.
