Nimda Computer Virus Hits New Mexico Municipal Sites
A Nimda like worm infected Farmington and Portales school systems and other sites in the U S and abroad causing shutdowns in Farmington's three municipal Web pages. City systems were restored by 4 40 p m on Wednesday after antivirus teams pushed a fix.

Man given life in prison for Taos Gorge murder
A 22 year old man, Luis Acosta, was sentenced to life plus 71 years after pleading guilty to first degree murder, conspiracy, kidnapping and armed robbery in the 1998 kidnapping and killing of 18 year old Erik Sanchez in Espanola. Acosta and David Sandoval planned the car theft to fund drugs and threw Sanchez off the 650 foot Taos Gorge Bridge.

Valles Caldera Trust names executive director to start in October
