Roswell Urges $700 for Chicago Land and Irrigation Show

As Roswell’s mayor I appeal for unity to back a $700 exhibit seed for the United States Land and Irrigation Show in Chicago November 19 to December 4. The Commercial Club has pledged $500, so the city must raise the remaining funds to secure space, literature, and a strong Roswell presentation showcasing apples and local products.

Roswell Exhibit Party Heads for Chicago Exposition

J. Kirby and Mr. Knight left Roswell to collect the Roswell exhibit for the United States Lands and Irrigation Exposition in Chicago. Kirby represents the Commercial Club and will brief farmers while Knight photographs. The club aims to raise 500 dollars for Southwestern section expenses plus Roswell 700 dollars for ads and a representative to promote the exhibit. They will tour the countryside for about four days.
