Emil Sandoval a Roswell pioneer and longtime Price and Company employee died at St Marys hospital at 3 30 yesterday afternoon from internal injuries after an accident at Price and Company where he had worked 42 years He was 71 born April 2 1870 in Guadalupe County New Mexico He came to Roswell at 16 and later worked for Chisum Cattle Company He married Georgia Gonzales August 22 1896 and survived by her He served as deputy sheriff for 42 years and as night policeman in Roswell The accident occurred when he was entering a freight elevator at the store preserving his reputation as a gentleman

El Paso Driver Severely Injured In New Mexico Crash

John Jackson of El Paso Safeway truck driver was badly hurt in a highway mishap at Hollywood New Mexico yesterday afternoon but his condition is not serious. He was taken to St Marys hospital. Jackson said he swerved to avoid a car as it veered toward the truck.
