E B Ewing Shoots Himself in Butte Hotel
Telegraphic reports say E B Ewing former Missouri editor and politician killed himself in a Butte Montana hotel. He had suffered hay fever sunstroke and financial troubles. He spent several months in Roswell and vicinity last winter and was once in high standing.

Sheriff Joseph Lang returned to Portales with Earl Tarter a 17 year old boy taken from a hillside setup. Authorities say Earl aided Wiley Tarter in stealing three horses from Sweezy. The warrant was issued six months ago and Wiley remains at large as of now. The boy was seized by Marshal Rascoe.
