EOG to Buy Yates Petroleum in 2.5 Billion Deal
Houston based EOG Resources agreed to acquire privately held Yates Petroleum and subsidiaries in a 2.5 billion transaction. The deal expands EOG acreage in the Delaware Basin and Powder River Basin, with closing expected in early October. Yates adds about 1.6 million net acres and 30,000 barrels per day. EOG will issue stock valued at 2.3 billion and assume 245 million of debt.

Roswell teen dies after motorcycle collision at intersection
Local 15 year old Camryn Castro died Tuesday after a white Dodge Magnum with two adults struck the Kawasaki motorcycle she rode at the intersection of South Union Avenue and Davidson Drive. Police say the car pulled from Davidson Drive to left turn, crossing Union’s northbound lanes as Castro traveled north at high speed.

Roswell firms buy oil and gas leases at BLM auction
