Farnsworth proves 100 mile mail run in under five hours
Co. M. Farnsworth of the Roswell Auto Company completed a test run to Vaughn on Friday to test the 100 mile trip for mail service. The journey took 4 12 hours, with Farnsworth stating the five hour requirement by the Post Office Department can be met easily. The road was found to be in splendid condition from end to end.

Shooting at Mexican home leaves man wounded in head
Macario Carisco, 25, was shot in the head by D. H. Barela at nine o clock Sunday night in Chihuahua addition. Doctors say the bullet passed near the jugular but did not sever a bone or artery. Barela is in jail and a complaint will be filed after the outcome is known. Carisco says he was conversing with Barela's wife when the shooting occurred.
