Roswell considers city licensing for body art shops
City Legal Committee discussed a proposed Roswell ordinance to license body art establishments and require state operator licenses. Amy Ward of A ok Tattoo in Roswell supported tighter controls to curb unlicensed home and shop tattooing and protect youths from unsafe practices. The measure would set 300 feet from schools, require annual inspections, and enforce state training and immunization proof. Council action is expected in two to four months with amendments possible on minor restrictions.
