Kissinger offers aid to break law of the seas deadlock

FBI Chief Kelley vows restitution over valances and cabinet

The Washington Star reports FBI Director Clarence M. Kelley acknowledged questions by Justice Department investigators about valances installed in his Bethesda apartment and a small cabinet claimed as government property. He pledged to pay for the valances, return the cabinet, and make restitution for gifts not clearly permitted by federal rules. He said the valances were ordered by the FBI exhibits section and installed without his knowledge. He noted his wife asked for valances and that he sought a cabinet to store office items.

Hobbs man indicted in McGuffin case by Grand Jury

Johnny K Blakely, 21, of Hobbs and formerly of Roswell, indicted on homicide by motor vehicle leaving the scene and driving on a revoked license in the July 7 death of Aubrey E McGuffin near Union Avenue and Riverside Drive. Blakely is jailed on a 1500 bond. indictment filed Monday.
