A fire occurred this morning at the Pan American Petroleum Malco Federal No 14 Wildcat rig east of Artesia New Mexico. The well in Eddy county Sec 11 18s 28e showed a new pay zone about 150 feet at depth with strong oil and gas shows in three drill stem tests. Repairs were underway after a casing breach at 3053 feet during remedial work.
