Judge tosses ex-dictator Noriega suit vs Activision
Superior Court Judge William Fahey dismissed Manuel Noriega’s lawsuit over his likeness in Call of Duty Black Ops II. The judge ruled the game’s use of his image is protected by the First Amendment and Noriega cannot amend or refile. Activision highlighted the decision as a win for creative freedom and historical fiction in gaming.
