Roswell Man Pleads Guilty In Firearms Buy Scheme
A Roswell man Carlos Martell pleaded guilty in federal court to making false statements to investigators over a scheme to buy eight firearms for himself with two intermediaries from mid 2009 to early 2010. He admitted paying two individuals to purchase weapons intended to hide his link to the effort and to keep them from drug cartels in Mexico. Martell faces sentencing with up to five years in prison and a 250000 dollar fine.
