Denison Reaffirms Staying On State Highway Commission
Hobbs official James Denison said in Roswell he has no intention of resigning from the state highway commission. Wesley Paul runs New York marathon at age eight
Eight year old Wesley Paul finished the New York Marathon in three hours and one second, about 48 minutes behind the winner. He was the youngest and smallest of 4,800 entrants and says crowding at the start slowed him. His father is a math teaching assistant at the University of Missouri. Wesley ran his first marathon in Columbia on Labor Day 1976, once ran 33 miles after a wrong turn, and was knocked down by a car in Columbia this year requiring stitches. He will not be eligible for the Boston Marathon for 10 years due to the 18 year age rule.
