Red Fir to Serve as National Christmas Tree This Year
The National Park Service announced the 61 foot red fir from Emigrant Gap California will adorn the Ellipse near the White House for the Pageant of Peace. Pacific Gas and Electric Co donates the tree in California’s name. The switch on ceremony is conducted by the President during a nationwide broadcast.
