Parents sue UNM hospital over access to alleged shooter records
The family of Mason Campbell, 13, alleges at least eight people accessed the boy’s medical and mental health records without authorization. The suit, filed in U S District Court in Albuquerque, targets the University of New Mexico Hospital and cites federal law on access. Prosecutors say Campbell opened fire at Berrendo Middle School injuring two students and he pleaded no contest to three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and carrying a firearm.
