Aggies and Soldiers Tie In Fast Football At Thorne Park

The New Mexico Military Institute and the State Aggies battled to a 7 to 7 draw at Thorne park on Saturday. McGary sparked the Aggies with a second quarter TD and Butler added the extra point. Robinson and Godfrey hooked passes to set up the cadets’ late score, with Godfrey crossing the line for a touchdown. McQuarters added the kickoff. Both backfields and lines played well in a tightly contested game.

Death of Terence MacSwiney Ends Hunger Strike

Terence MacSwiney died at 5 40 AM on the 74th day of his hunger strike in London. Prison officials refused to notify relatives through priests. Sinn Fein predicts demonstrations and possible reprisals. His wife is prostrate. his brother John and his priest were with him at death. an official inquiry into the death will begin. MacSwiney was arrested August 16 on charges of possessing sedition literature.
