Ethel Clare Leneve Acquitted in London Murder Case

London, Oct. 25. Ethel Clare Leneve was today acquitted of being an accessory after the fact in the murder of Cora Belle Crippen known on stage as Belle Elmore. The trial lasted only a few hours with limited evidence presented from the prior proceedings.

Crippen Case Sequel Fines Editor for Contempt

London court fined assistant editor Perris one thousand dollars for contempt of court after the London Chronicle published a story claiming Dr Crippen had purchased Kyosein and confessed to his wife’s murder. Perris was ordered jailed until the fine is paid.

Colorado University students strike after hazing suspensions

Boulder, Colo. Seventeen students were suspended by the faculty for hazing in the dorm Rats initiation. The entire student body, over 500, went on strike and guards were posted at campus entrances. Students insist the dorm rat initiation is not hazing despite the written promise against hazing.
