Wilson demands surrender not peace from Germany

Flu Toll Grows as Local Deaths Rise

Multiple residents die from influenza and pneumonia in the region. Maria Baldez aged 35 died at 6100 East Tilden, and Mrs. Joseph Herrera aged 27 died at the Mexican Catholic Hospital. Lupe Gonzalez aged 30 died at the Mexican Cabole hospital, leaving a husband and three children. Gordon M. Stockley aged 27 of Acme died at the Water Sanitarium from pneumonia and was buried at Dilley chapel. Fred Schale aged 17 died at Oasis ranch from influenza pneumonia. his brother-in-law W. Von Schoyck arrived too late and the body will be shipped to White Oaks for burial.

Cadet J W Johnson Dies in San Antonio

The body of Cadet J W Johnson son of Mr and Mrs W T Johnson of San Antonio Texas died Tuesday night of influenza pneumonia. An open air service was held at Dilleys with Rev Brune of First Baptist and six cadets served as pallbearers as the casket was placed on the midnight train. Burial will be in San Antonio with his parents and relatives accompanying. Also an ad notes Liberty Bonds exchanged for auto supplies at J F Patterson store 129 West 2nd St Roswell New Mexico.
