Blaze at Salt Creek Gin Destroys Bale of Colon Cotton
A fire at Salt Creek Gin north of Roswell on U S 285 at 6 18 a m damaged 18 bales of cotton and destroyed one bale of colon. The bales were on a semitrailer outside the building when the fire started. The central fire station sent one truck and remained until 7 20 a m. Firemen said no damage to the building or trailer. Cause unknown. Deputies listed cotton bale value at 125 to 150 dollars.
