Survey Planned for Rio Hondo Canal Project

W M Reed and W A Wilson visited the Hondo area to arrange a detailed survey of the proposed canal and adjacent country for the Rio Hondo reservoir project. The line will run from above the Diamond A ranch to near the reservoir, about twelve to fourteen miles, with Wilson in charge.

Post Office Safe Blown and Robbed at Fort Sumner

Fort Sumner New Mexico reports the post office safe dynamited after midnight. About five hundred dollars in money and stamps were stolen. The blast damaged the interior and the work appears to be by inexperienced individuals. Tracks of an unmined horse and old buggy were found nearby.

The territorial Embalming Board issued certificates to two of four applicants after examinations held last Tuesday. Successful candidates were Thomas Graham of Naravisa and John Poole of Las Cruces. Bishop Kendrick to Head New Mexico Diocese in Roswell

At a Protestant Episcopal meeting in Cincinnati Ohio the division of New Mexico and Arizona into two dioceses was approved. Crippen Found Guilty of Belle Elmore Murder in London
