Carlsbad lands plan to balance use and protection
Carlsbad BLM maps a comprehensive plan for Lea and Eddy counties and part of Chaves to manage flora, fauna, natural and mineral resources on federal lands. The plan aims for multiple use, include grazing, and coordinates with counties per federal law, with meetings involving Chaves County officials, Eddy and Lea County reps, and groups like the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance. A Dec 6 public meeting is set in Roswell? (Note: This line preserves entities. adjust as needed.)
