Eddy County audit finds omitted oil and gas property taxes
Eddy County officials heard Jerry Wisdom of Total Assessment Solutions report on an audit of oil and gas properties. He said over 700 miles of post production pipelines mapped, 378.52 miles omitted, with 201000 in potential missing taxes and 177000 collected so far. The assessor will bill the remaining amounts.

Gas service restored to most units at Summit Apartments
Nine of Roswell Summit Apartments 13 buildings have gas service again after repairs. Affected residents include the elderly and disabled as work continues on four buildings with units expected to regain gas within three weeks. Roswell Couple Chased Pronghorn Antelope by ATV
A Roswell man Enrico Amaya 28 and a female companion were seen on video chasing a herd of pronghorns for over an hour on trails near Cielo Grande Recreation Area. Amaya was arrested August 11 by New Mexico Game and Fish after tips from the public led to the chase footage and investigation.
