SeaWorld to challenge California ban on orca breeding
SeaWorld announced it will challenge a California Coastal Commission ruling banning breeding of captive killer whales at its San Diego park and pursue legal action. The commission endorsed a 100 million expansion for new tanks with breeding restrictions and other limits. The move follows a public clash over authority and animal welfare concerns surrounding the Blue World project and the impact of the Blackfish documentary.
