Atlantic Richfield eyes New Mexico for nuclear storage plants
Atlantic Richfield officials said New Mexico is a potential site for several nuclear energy plants including spent fuel storage, uranium enrichment, and reprocessing. Board chair Robert C. Anderson pledged to pursue a uranium enrichment plant if the state wants it, with studies considering Washington, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas locations.
