Superintendent A A Ririe started a work crew of twenty five on the North Spring River Center Ditch near Missouri Avenue Eightal street. The company seeks sixty workers and promises three months' labor at two dollars per day as work will push toward completion though more help is needed.

Runaway horse causes wreck injuring two boys
A frenzied horse slipped its bridle during a four o clock Tuesday incident in Walnut Street near South Ken tock avenue. Raymond Wilson was injured though not seriously as the buggy overturned and the rig was crushed. The horse raced toward Central School and then toward Uncle Bob Johnston's fence before being restrained.
