Salvation Army Marriage Celebrated at East Second Citadel

The Salvation Army citadel on East Second Street hosted a crowded wedding ceremony led by Major Frank Wright of El Paso. Mrs R. E. Price sang Let a Little Sun Shine In as the couple walked the aisle, receiving many gifts and planning to reside at 212 West Alameda with Capt. Henderson.

Rousing Lake Arthur Meeting Boosts Democratic Slate

A large crowd gathered at Lake Arthur on Monday night for a Democratic rally supporting the territorial and county ticket. C. C. Hill spoke for school superintendent, with candidates C. L. Ballard sheriff Guy H. Herbert assessor Wm. M. Atkinson commissioner and James Sutherland treasurer present. Dr. Lew Wallace of Kentucky also addressed the meeting.

Baptist Ladies Discuss Indian Missions

The Womans Missionary Society of the First Baptist church met at Mrs. Otto Hedgecoxe’s home for a program on Indian Missions in the Southwest. Mrs. Ellis sang, a duet by Mrs. Garner and Miss Garner delighted attendees, and social hour offerings included coffee, chocolate and cake. Commissioners Finish Their Business The county commissioners concluded October’s quarterly session with routine bills and docket housekeeping. Commissioner Fritz, of Hagerman, will return home tonight.

Ewell and Pearson Buy Two Baggage Wagons

M. E. Ewell and W. H. Pearson under the firm Ewell and Pearson have purchased the city baggage wagons. They took charge several days ago and will haul baggage and furniture for the City stable. Their office remains at the same location with Mr. Pearson in charge.
