Redistricting lawyers chosen for Legislature fight
A party line vote by the Legislative Council approves private counsel to defend Democratic led redistricting plans in lawsuits over district boundaries for Congress and state offices. The team from Albuquerque, Roswell, and UNM will be paid 260 an hour, with previous costs cited.
