Halloween Carnival plans set in Roswell 1978
The 1978 Halloween Carnival runs 6 to 9 30 p m on October 31 at the Commercial Building within the Eastern New Mexico State Fairgrounds. Sponsored by the Optimist Club Chums and Pals sororities and Roswell Parks and Recreation Commission, it features booths run by local clubs to promote a safe Halloween for Roswell children. More than 5 000 children attended last year and organizers expect more this year with prizes for booths and costumes. Booth applications deadline is October 20 with details to follow.
