Fair and warmer conditions prevail across the region as weather officials report gradual temperature gains. Light winds and dry skies are expected, with no significant precipitation anticipated through the week.

Senator Clinton P. Anderson says a special chemical film will be spread on Elephant Butte Reservoir in New Mexico to cut evaporation. Studies on wind, temperature, and area characteristics precede tests, with potential saving of about 2,000,000 acre-feet yearly.
