Roswell Jazz Festival Builds From Humble Roots
The Roswell Jazz Festival grew from a local effort begun with a November benefit for the Louisiana Children’s Museum and a 2006 Mardi Gras planning push. Organizer Paula Grieves credits community doors opening and long planning, with Mike Francis aiming for national, even international, recognition. The festival features a Friday noon preview on the courthouse lawn and three ticketed events, family seminars, a Saturday gospel worship and jazz lineup, ending with Blue Swing at the Anderson Museum.
