By eleven o’clock this morning none of the drowned had been recovered. Sixteen other sailors were reported missing, believed to have overstayed shore leave.

Manchester England October 3 The Federation of Master Spinners refused to entertain revised terms suggested by George Rankin Askwith comptroller general of the Board of Trade which operatives have accepted. The strike action continues as about 130000 workers remain idle.
Ben L. Becerra and Miss Marines Sedillos were married at 3:00 PM Saturday at the groom’s brother-in-law home on East Albuquerque Street. Judge J. T. Evans officiated in view of relatives and friends as a Mexican string band played. The bride wore white silk, groom black, ring ceremony followed by two friends as attendants and four flower girls showering the couple with flowers. A photograph was taken after the ceremony.
At the morning service Dr Alexander tendered his resignation as pastor of First Presbyterian Church to take effect November 1. He gave no stated reason but dissension within the church is suggested. A congregational meeting is set for Saturday October 15 to vote on the resignation.
A Roswell representative reports from Albuquerque that Roswell and Albuquerque open the tournament Monday with the winner facing Santa Fe the same day. Trinidad and Las Lunas will arrive tonight and Weeks of Abbas is expected to pitch for Roswell. The Santa Fe squad is described as nearly all black and Roswell is favored after today’s play.
