City council met with Aldermen including Wyllys and Kinsinger approving fire plug expenses and a Tent City care option for a TB patient. Parker Amusement Company faced licensing friction over a street fair and ride protections amid racial notes, with a recess called for further talks.
Four men died and eight were injured at Maryland Steel Company Sparrows Point when a blast released flaming gas and coke through a hole in a furnace casting socket. Victims were near a newly installed air pipe during a ten minute burn before the accident. Officials cannot yet explain the cause.
