Effie B Smartt Jewett 75 wife of George B Jewett died at 1 am in Wichita Falls Texas. The couple lived in Roswell from 1904 to 1948. She was active in St Peters Church civic affairs and born August 24 1881 in McMinnville Tennessee. Survivors include her husband four daughters three sons 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral Mass planned for Monday after Rosary at Ballard Chapel.
