Icy roads spark fatal three car crash near Ruidoso
A three car crash on icy U S 70 east of Ruidoso Downs killed 44 year old Socorro Calistro of Nogales Arizona. Her husband Francisco Calixtro 44 was injured as police noted cars driven by Nita Sturges 30 of Clovis and Arthur Griggs 66 of Las Cruces also collided. Sturges daughter Jennifer Lee 14 months old was treated and released. Roswell police reported eight crashes from freezing roads as travel warnings urged people to avoid driving and chains were required in the area.
