William J. Bryan spent hours in Kansas City on the way to Topeka and rejected a report that he sent letters or planned a conference. He stated plans do not contemplate any conference, at least in the immediate future. Also notes a large stock show featuring goats, horses, and cattle with international attendance and academic participation.
The state department announced the U S hopes to conclude soon with Great Britain an arbitration treaty identical to those signed with France and Germany. The treaty will be signed by Secretary Hay and Sir Mortimer Durand. Hay has also received a cordial German note accepting Roosevelt's Hague conference idea.
The president toured the fairgrounds in Roosevelt fashion viewing statues lagoons bridges and other elevations to see the grounds from vantage points. After a briefing at the Mines and Metal building the party moved to the German building before continuing the grounds tour. A Swedish visitor N Johansson left for home in disappointment after a month here unable to converse in English without an interpreter.
Authorities report widespread snowfall across rural areas surrounding Mukden. Transportation slowdowns occur as snowbanks form on roads and visibility drops. Local schools and services adjust schedules while crews work to clear the main routes.

Denver November 26 The Colorado Supreme Court on motion by John M Waldron modified the restraining order blocking the election commission from issuing certificates of election The alteration allows the canvassing board to issue certificates of election for the congressional and presidential votes The court also declined to raise the bail for election officers charged with contempt from 1000 to 5000 dollars
Six miles of freight cars loaded with mill products clog the yards of the Pittsburg Virginia and Charleston railroad at the Homestead plant and hundreds more await shipment at other mills in the lower Monongahela valley. Officials fear possible suspension if relief does not arrive.
Chicago November 26 thousands attend the fifth annual international livestock exposition at the stock yards opening with cattle sheep and swine displays. Local exhibitors and buyers converge as the event showcases livestock from multiple regions and promises a busy trade period.

New York Nov 26 The reported purchase of the Chicago and Great Western Railway by Union Pacific interests has not been confirmed. Representatives of both sides declined to comment while Wall Street traders expect an official announcement as Great Western securities accumulate.

The man, intoxicated in Roswell, failed to board a Dexter train and later died in his bed on Thanksgiving afternoon.
Mrs. Chas Brown reported her Thanksgiving turkey stolen Wednesday night but found it Thursday morning. She invited the thief to dinner and revealed Mr. Chas Brown as the culprit.

Washington reporters describe the capital filling with about 500 senators and representatives expected to arrive by mid next week. They travel with several thousand camp followers and many special interest reps who seek government employment or influence during the session, totaling 3000 to 5000 transients in Washington.
After an illness of more than a year Miss Emma Brown died yesterday morning at two o clock. She was the sister in law of Robert Bond and died at his residence near the Pauley school building. Roswell had been her home for many years. The funeral was held this morning at 10 o'clock with many friends in attendance.
The wife of Tomas Trieto, a prosperous Mexican, died suddenly last night at 11 o’clock in their South Roswell home. She had been ill only during the day, heart failure suspected as the cause. The funeral will be held tomorrow with time yet to be announced as The Record goes to press.
Harvey L Ferguson, a health seeker from Kingman Kansas, died at noon today at the DeArcy residency on the South hill. His wife Mrs Bes sie Ferguson was with him at the time of death. The remains are in the Dilley undertaking rooms and will be shipped to Kingman Kansas tomorrow.
The county teachers certificates examination began yesterday morning and continues today in the high school building. The candidates include Misses Elizabeth Littlefield Aida Smith Jennie James Winston Burroff Rose White Roberts and Principal Day of Hagerman.
Entertainment at the Methodist church drew a large crowd last night. Selleck's mandoline club performed most numbers, with Mr. Selleck's class and Mr. Osborn the new librarian delivering a reading that was well received.
