Holiday Closures For Thanksgiving Across Local Offices
The Record joins others in closing Thursday for Thanksgiving to let employees celebrate with families. Most Chaves County courthouse offices and all Federal Building offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. The Chaves County treasurer's office closes Thursday only, with hours Friday 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday 9 am to noon to handle 1970 tax transactions. First half 1970 taxes are delinquent in December.
