Recount of 8 Boxes In Guadalupe County Delayed

In Santa Rosa New Mexico on November 24 the Guadalupe county canvassing board postponed a recount of votes from eight precincts including precincts 4 and 8. The delay follows a request by Frances Brasher Republican defeated candidate for county school superintendent. District Judge Luis Armijo ordered the postponement and set November 27 for the recount of national state and county races. Miss Adams Dies at Wellesley College

Miss Jessie R. Adams aged 62 connected with Wellesley College for 23 years and for nine years head of the college information bureau died by her own hand today in a duck pond near her home in Natick Massachusetts. Authorities attribute her death to ill health.

Cattle Program Nears Completion Across State

Washington reports 671000 head of cattle in pasture under the federal surplus relief corporation. About three fourths of the state cattle program is finished and the effort is being sped to complete the project by January 1. Cattle were bought by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration in drought areas and handed to the surplus corporation to convert into food and aid destitute unemployed people.

Butt Still Unable to Accept Resignation

Frank Butt, chairman of the state highway commission, remained confined to his bed in Albuquerque on November 24 due to an attack of lumbago. He had planned to travel to Santa Fe to tender his resignation but could not leave home. He was reported to be much better at his residence.

A referee recommended that the $12,000,000 Rockefeller trust fund established by John D. Rockefeller for Edith Rockefeller McCormick be divided equally among her three children.
