A battalion of infantry at Behia mutinied during an investigation of a sub-lieutenant. The commanding officer was shot by the ringleader as he tried to address the troops. Other soldiers charged the mutineers and order was restored. The sub-lieutenant died from his wounds.

J B Craig of Roswell and Miss Jennie L Hedges of Ft Worth Texas married last evening after the train arrived by rebate Judge Evans in his courthouse office. Witnesses C C Cooper and George Burk noted the ceremony. The bride will reside in this city with her husband.

The remains of Roscoe Edwards a 28 year old giant six feet six inches tall who died of pneumonia at Hope New Mexico were shipped this morning to San Marcos Texas for burial. The body was brought by wagon to Fortiesia and embalmed by Undertaker Avery. Edwards died Wednesday and the body was shipped yesterday.
Kansas City cattle bids fall with native steers at 3.50 to 1.45 and southern steers 2.50 to 4.25, stockers 2.25 to 4.10, bulls 1.75 to 3.50, western cattle 1.50 to 4.75, sheep steady with muttons 3.75 to 6.50 and lambs 4.25 to 5.85. Wool in St Louis steady with territory and western mediums at 22 to 23, fine medium 19 to 21, fine 15 to 18.
